The Conductor
On a tour to the United States, a violinist from a provincial Polish orchestra, whose husband is the conductor of the ensemble, connects with the world-renowned conductor of symphonies. Evidently, he once loved the mother of the violinist. A hypochondriac conductor returns to Poland to command the provincial orchestra. Using the violinist as a stand-in for her mother, he also attempts to reignite an old love affair. For both personal and professional grounds, her spouse resents the conductor.
