Dark Blue World

Lt. Franta Slama can be just a high pilot at the Czech Air Force who's delegated to train some promising young flier, Karel Vojtisek, and they become friends. When Nazi Germany invades Czechoslovakia in 1939 , they escape to England where they combine additional Czech exiles in the RAF and reject the authority of their leaders. While flying a mission over England, lands crash and happens upon the farmhouse of Susan, a woman whose husband is in the Navy. Karel soon falls head over heels Susan but, while they enjoy a brief fling, at time Susan decides she prefers the company of their elderly and more offbeat Franta. As Franta and Karel struggle to maintain their friendship despite their romantic rivalry.
