Dog Jack

"Dog Jack" is the story of a slave boy and his dog who flee their master's plantation, join the union army, and find themselves facing their former master on the battlefield. The story is inspired by the true-life exploits of the Pennsylvania 102nd's famous mascot, who was so highly regarded by his regiment for his combat abilities that he was twice traded for a Confederate prisoner of war.
