Oscar and Lucinda

It's no surprise that misfit Oscar Hopkins, raised by an evangelist father, becomes an Anglican priest and falls head over heels in love with gambling. A wealthy Australian heiress named Lucinda Leplastrier visits London to purchase supplies for her newly purchased glass plant in her native Australia. In the course of his missionary work in Australia, Oscar meets Lucinda, and the two develop a mutual attraction. They place a bet that will change both of their futures for the better.
