The Ballad of Narayama

In Kabuki style, the movie tells the story of a remote mountain village where the shortage of food leads to a socially-enforced although voluntary policy by which family relations take 70-year-old family members to die. Granny Orin is approaching 70, happy to embrace her fate. Her widowed son Tatsuhei cannot tolerate losing his mother, even as she enrolls his marriage to your widow his era. Her grandson Kesa, who is girlfriend is happy to see Orin die. A group of thieves have been dealt with severely, and also an old man 70, whose son has cast him out, scrounges for food.
