The Enchanting Phantom

A timeless love story about a scholar who falls in love with a female ghost and attempts to liberate her from the demon's perpetual enslavement. Ning Cai Chen, a scholar, travels to the capital to sit for state examinations. He spends the night at Lan Ruo temple and meets and falls in love with Nie Xiao Qian, a ghost that seduces men into absorbing their life energy as an offering to Lao Lao. Ning Cai Chen and Nie Xiao Qian marry after much effort; nevertheless, Lao Lao intends to marry Nie Xiao Qian over to the Heishan Demon.
