The Night My Number Came Up

A Royal Navy sailor is enticed into disclosing details of a dream in which eight people take off from Bangkok in a Dakota destined for Tokyo and crash in the Japanese highlands at a posh dinner party in Hong Kong. Air Marshal Hardie is among those listening, as he is scheduled to fly to Tokyo the next day. Hardie rejects the dream at first since he is set to fly out in a Liberator, but upon arrival at the airport, Hardie discovers that the Liberator has experienced technical problems and has been substituted by a Dakota. When two soldiers enter the plane shortly before the flight's scheduled departure, Hardie thinks that the dream is coming true and he is doomed to die.
