Park Chan-Hong is a typical senior in high school. His parents put academic pressure on him despite his flair for writing. Park Chan-Hong has no particular aspirations. He is buddies with Eom Se-Yoon, a fellow high school student. She is well-liked in school. Meanwhile, Heo Don-Hyeok and Park Chan-Hong are classmates. Heo Don-Hyeok has little interest in education and works to cover his living expenses. Heo Don-Hyeok rescues Park Chan-Hong from a school bully one day. Heo Don-Hyeok requests 300,000 won ($270 USD) from Park Chan-Hong to cover his rent. Park Chan-Hong lends him the money, but it was intended to cover his tuition at a private institute. Park Chan-Hong no longer has a place to go after school. He starts spending more time with Heo Don-Hyeok.
