The Goob

We're in the middle of a heat-wave in Fenland England. Goob Taylor has spent his sixteen summers each helping Mum conduct crop and then the transport cafe the beet areas. If Mum shacks up with swarthy stock car supremo and ladies' individual gene Womack, Goob becomes an unwanted thought. When beet picker Eva takes place Goob's world turns. Fuelled by her hurtful remarks, Goob dreams of better stuff.
