The Island of Cats

Old Daikichi has been living on a small island for the past 70 years. The only companion he has had after the death of his wife has been his cat, Tama. In his free time, Daikichi enjoys spending time with his childhood pals, including Iwao and Tama, as well as relaxing on the island. He has a son in Tokyo named Tsuyoshi. Even though Tsuyoshi has some concerns about his father being left alone on the island, Daikichi is satisfied with his lot in life. After the death of a close friend, Daikichi begins to worry about his own health. The routine of his everyday routine begins to shift. From the manga "Neko to Jiichan."
