Christmas has come and gone. Upon entering the room, a young girl and her parents are greeted by an abundance of toys under the Christmas Tree. She tosses her old doll aside and instantly begins playing with her new dolls. That night, though, she has a dream. Is it a dream, or is it real... (IMDb) With no dialogue or sound effects, and certainly no Santa, the Czech version's soundtrack was entirely instrumental. MGM remade the picture for American audiences by replacing the delightful score with an overblown Hollywood production, inserting an American-style Santa Claus into the video[...], and giving the doll a pip-squeaky voice, among other changes.
