The Flight of the Eagle

S. A. Andrée, a Swedish engineer from the nineteenth century, sets out to become the first person to step foot on the North Pole. His plan is to embark on a polar adventure with two buddies, using a hydrogen balloon as a means of transportation. The balloon, "The Eagle," sets off from Svalbard in 1897, but the three men who piloted it are never seen or heard from after that.
